Maria Louise Gingell
Maria Louise Gingell started her ballet training at the age of seven and attended fourteen years at the Tanya Bayona Princess Poutiatine Academy of Ballet. During this time, she pursued thorough training in various dance disciplines including Classical Ballet, Spanish and Contemporary and passed all major examinations with honours. She won several awards including the Bridget Espinoza Award in 1994 and was awarded scholarships at Bush Davis College and at the London Studio Centre. Maria performed in various festivals in Malta, Italy, France and Portugal. In 2000, she was enrolled as an Associate of the ISTD, passing the examination with honours, and obtained her Associate Diploma in 2004. In 2007 she successfully completed her Diploma in Dance Education. Maria has been teaching Classical Ballet since 2000 at various vocational schools in Malta and has been teaching at St. Michael Foundation for over 10 years.
