Dyslexia and its impact in a school environment
Course Description
This course is designed to help individuals better understand dyslexia and how it affects students/children in their care. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities, participants will learn practical strategies for improving reading, writing, and spelling skills, such as using assistive technology and incorporating multisensory learning techniques. Participants will have the opportunity to work individually and in small groups to practise these strategies and to receive personalised feedback from the instructor/s. By the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of dyslexia and the tools they need to help their students/children succeed.
